Flash on Ubuntu Linux

With the Google Chrome browser a separate Flash is not required, as Chrome comes with it's own Flash player (Pepper Flash).

The Firefox browser defaults to Adobe Flash Player, and the oldest version of this is 11.2. But for NeuroNation a minimum Flash version of 11.5 is required. Using the following instructions you can install a wrapper for Flash Pepper, so Firefox uses the same flash player as Google Chrome.

The following guide comes from the page [1] and has been tested with "Ubuntu 04.14 LTS" and the current versions of Firefox and Chrome:

1) Installation of Fresh Player Plugin on Ubuntu:
In the command line, the following three commands have to be executed. Please confirme all queries with [Y]:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install freshplayerplugin

Alternatively, you can also download the package from [2], but then you will not get any automatic updates.

2) Install Chrome
The Fresh Player plugin is just a wrapper for Chromes Pepper Flash Player, so you will need to install Chrome in addition. The easiest way is to download Google Chrome from [3] and follow the installation instructions.

Important:
The plugin is currently in an early alpha version and it can lead to errors. In addition, there is no guarantee that all exercises at NeuroNation work as they should.
